Cooking

 I have been baking cookies for gifts this Christmas. We received a Hersey's tin of recipes as a wedding gift and I am just now getting around to trying the recipes.

HERSHEY'S Double Chocolate MINI KISSES brand Cookies

2 sticks of butter; 1.5 cup sugar; 2 eggs; 2 teaspoons vanilla; 2 cups all purpose flour; 2/3 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa; 3/4 teaspoon baking soda; 1/4 teaspoon salt; 1.75 cups (10 oz. package) HERSHEY'S MINI KISSES brand Milk Chocolates; 1/2 cup coarsely chopped nuts (optional)
Mix everything together with a mixer. Put tablespoon sized drops on an un-greased cookie sheet and cook at 350 for 8-10 minutes.




HERSHEY'S Triple Chocolate Cookies

48 HERSHEY'S KISSES; 1 stick butter; 3/4 cup sugar; 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar; 1 teaspoon vanilla; 2 eggs; 1 tablespoon milk; 2.25 cups all purpose flour; 1/3 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa; 1 teaspoon baking soda; 1/2 teaspoon salt; 1 cup HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Mix together and place 1 inch sized balls of dough on an ungreased cookie sheet. Cook at 350 for 10-11 minutes. Gently press a chocolate into the center of each cookie.
*for vanilla cookies, omit cocoa and add an additional 1/2 cup all-purpose flour.


Holiday Treasure Cookies
1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs; 1/2 cup all-purpose flour; 2 teaspoons baking powder; 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk; 1 stick butter; 1.75 cups (10 oz package) HERSHEY'S MINI KISSES; 1.33 cups candy coated chocolate pieces (M&M's); 1.33 cups MOUNDS sweetened coconut flakes ( I omitted this); 1 cup coarsley chopped walnuts (I used pecans).
   Mix all together and drop tablespoon sized dough onto un-greased cookie sheet. Cook at 375 fro 8-10 minutes.
The picture on the left is before they are cooked; The right is after they are cooked. They didn't look too good, but they tasted delicious!

Grandma's Favorite Sugarcakes
2/3 cup butter; 1.5 cups packed light brown sugar; 1 cup sugar; 2 eggs; 2 teaspoons vanilla extract; 1.5 cups all-purpose flour; 2 teaspoons baking soda; 1 teaspoon baking powder; 1 teaspoon salt; 1 cup buttermilk; 1 cups (12 oz package) HERSHEY'S MINI CHIPS semi-sweet chocolate chips; 1 cups chopped walnuts or pecans; Topping is optional: vanilla frosting, colored sugar or sprinkles.
   Mix all together and drop 1/4 cup sized dough onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 12-14 minutes.








Pecan MINI KISSES cups
1 stick butter; 3oz cream cheese; 1 cup all-purpose flour; 1 egg; 2/3 cup packed light brown sugar; 1 tablespoon butter, melted; 1 teaspoon vanilla; dash of salt; 72 HERSHEY'S MINI KISSES milk chocolates, divided; 1/2 to 3/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans.
    Beat 1 stick of softened butter and cream cheese until blended; add flour; beat well. Cover, refrigerate ~ an hour or until firm enough to handle.
    Shaped chilled dough into 24 balls (1 inch each). Place balls in ungreased small muffin cups (1.75 inches in diameter). Press onto bottoms and up sides of cups. Place 2 chocolate pieces in each up ( I used one big kiss). Spoon about 1 teaspoon of pecans over the chocolate. Stir together egg, brown sugar, 1 tablespoon melted butter, vanilla and salt in small bowl and fill each cup with this egg mixture.
   Bake at 325 for 25 minutes. Lightly press 1 chocolate into center of each cookie.

Kind of tastes like a mini derby/pecan pie.
