How many times in a day can I say how adorable Caleb is?

Caleb is SO SO SO CUTE!!! His little smile and giggle is just precious! He has started reaching for Brian and me now, so of course we pick him right up and hug and kiss him! It makes me feel so special :-)

Seven Months

Caleb has done so much in the past month. He has started eating food, sitting up by himself and a tooth broke through on the bottom of his mouth.

Caleb eats cereal or oatmeal for breakfast and then drinks milk from a sippy cup. Depending on what time he gets up, he has more milk for a snack and then eats food for lunch. He has liked everything we have fed him: peas, green beans, squash, sweet potatoes, prunes, apples, bananas... Caleb usually has another bottle of milk in the afternoon and then eats more food and milk for supper. He does great while eating. He opens his mouth like a little bird and waits for us to feed him.

Caleb loves to play. He plays in his exersaucer in the mornings and watches the dogs outside the window. He laughs at the dogs every time he sees them. His favorite thing to do is still the jumper. My favorite thing for Caleb to do is sit on the floor by himself so I can sit in front of him and play with him. We still put pillows around him because he tips over sometimes, but for the most part he does great sitting up on his own. His favorite toys are the rings on the peg and the shapes in the bucket. Caleb still loves to go outside. Any time he is crying, I just walk him outside and he is happy.

Caleb's first tooth broke through on August 28th. We found out because he bit Bridget at church. Of course, we didn't let him chew on our fingers, so we don't know exactly when it broke through. We brushed his tooth for the first time yesterday. He seemed to like it okay. He wanted to suck on the toothbrush.

Caleb is growing up so quickly! I know he is only 7 months old, but he is so much bigger than when we first brought him home :-) He still sleeps pretty good. He sleeps for about 12 hours at night, waking up once or twice. He takes two naps during the day, each lasting about 45 minutes. Caleb is so adorable! I could just hug and kiss him all day long!!!

Caleb has been busy!

So, Caleb is not only eating cereal, but he is also eating peas, green beans and sweet potatoes. He likes to eat and doesn't get too messy. So far he doesn't try to put his hands in the food very often. After Caleb eats at his high chair we take him to the couch so he can hold his own sippy cup and drink his milk. He has to be reclined to be able to get the milk out of the cup. He can also sit up all by himself. Of course he does tip over occasionally so we put pillows or stuffed animals around him to cushion his falls. Finally, Caleb is getting his first tooth! We can see more of it every day! Brian's brother, Chris got married this past weekend. Caleb was the ring bearer so he got all dressed up in his black pants, white dress shirt and black vest. Aunt Lindsay carried him down the isle. He was so cute!

You can see the tooth if you make it your desktop background :-)
