Caleb's First Month

These last four weeks have flown by, even though some nights were very long. Caleb recognizes Brian's and my voice and turns toward us when we talk. He likes to play on his floor mat gym. He moves his arms and legs and hits the animals that are hanging above him. Caleb doesn't like to lay on his stomach for very long, but when he does he usually falls asleep. He eats every 2-3 hours and one night he went for four hours! Caleb likes to sleep in his swing. We took him on his first walk in the stroller the other day. He fell asleep pretty quickly. He likes his pacifier on most days, especially at church. He has been to church 6 times already and does a pretty good job of sleeping quietly during the service. Caleb does not like to take a bath. Of course he can't play with bath toys, so how much fun could it really be? Most nights Caleb falls asleep or back asleep within 10 minutes, but a few times it has taken hours. Caleb has only been fussy a few times. He will calm down pretty quickly as soon as we swaddle him, give him a pacifier, hold him on his side, rock him, and have some noise that is louder than his crying. It has been a great month and we are looking forward to many, many more!

He's a wiggle worm!

Caleb's First Sunday at Church

Caleb did great during his first Sunday at church. It was a special day not just because it was Caleb's first time at church, but also because Mamaw sang the special for Caleb. She did a great job!

Busy Week

The first two weeks of having Caleb out of the womb has been eventful, exhausting, and exciting! We have discovered that we hate Huggies diapers. They would leak every time he wore them! We had to do laundry each day. So, now we will stick with the Pampers. We had our second trip to the doctor. Everything is great! He is 7lbs. 9oz. and continuing to grow every day. Caleb's umbilical cord had fallen off, so now he can take a real bath! No bath toys yet though.
